2024 CLUB PROGRAMS

Intermediate Masters Coached Rowing

Wednesdays & Fridays, Mid-May to October at 5:30-7:00am

Whether you’ve just completed a Learn to Row clinic and would like to continue developing your skills, or have been sculling for years and want to fine tune some aspects of your stroke, think of intermediate coaching as supportive continuing education. A learned eye can spot minor problems that you can remedy in order to help you feel more comfortable in any type of rowing boat, make balancing a narrow racing shell easier, and allow you to attain the speed over the water you’re capable of reaching. Coaches strive to explain both the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ so you understand the benefits of making changes, then learn the best way to reach your goals. Coaching start date determined by weather.

Experienced Masters Coached Rowing

Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays

Mid-May through Mid-August at 5:30-7:00am

A step beyond Intermediate, these coached sessions for both recreational and competitive rowers will empower you to further refine your technique, as well as the opportunity to train for optional racing in summer sprints and fall head races.

Open Rowing Sessions

Sundays & Mondays

May through October at 5:30-7:00am

Members can choose to row in uncoached sessions with an emphasis on improving rowing skills and fitness. We row in club-organized 4+ and 8+ shells, with the opportunity for sculling in 2x and 4x shells as well. Sign-up sheets are sent out bi-weekly.

Independent rowing is also available to sculling members who have passed their captain's test or are accompanied by a club mentor during certain hours of the morning.

Guest Rowing

CCR offers our summer visitors the opportunity to row with experienced club members during non-coached sessions on a daily or weekly basis, depending on skill level and boat availability. Prior safety orientation, signed waiver and payment are required. Guest fees are $20/day, payable before row. Please contact us at least two weeks prior to your visit and we will try to accommodate your needs. Fee is forfeited if you cancel within 48 hours.

Cancellation Policy

For all coached programs, Cape Cod Rowing reserves the right to cancel a program if too few rowers are registered, or if there is a change in state or local Covid guidelines. Participants will be notified in advance of the first session in the event a program is cancelled and a refund or credit towards a future program will be granted.
